Cookies and browser storage
At Noova, we want to be clear and upfront about how we collect and use data. We don't use third-party cookies or scripts — no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no ad-network pixels. Everything we measure stays on our own servers.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that store information in your browser. We use them to make it easier to access our service, to enforce our terms, to prevent fraud, and to understand and improve the site's performance and usage. We don't use cookies for marketing purposes and don't share data with advertising partners.
How long they last
The cookies we set have a fixed lifetime (see the table below) and survive closing the browser. For analytics, we don't use a cookie at all — we use an identifier in your browser's sessionStorage, which disappears when the tab closes.
Strictly necessary cookies
We always set these, without asking first — the site wouldn't work, or would work much worse, without them (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). They enable basic functions such as signing in and navigation, and help us enforce our terms and prevent fraud.
Analytics — on our own servers only
To see which pages get visited and which listings get contacted, we group the events of one visit under a randomly generated session ID. It lives in your browser's sessionStorage, not a cookie, disappears when the tab closes, and can't be linked to any other visit.
With your consent: an ad campaign's click ID
If the link you arrived from carries an ad network's click ID, we send it to our server once — only if you accepted this banner, otherwise we discard it immediately. It is never stored in your browser. We use it solely to confirm to the network that a contact happened.
Legal basis
If you've consented to the use of cookies based on our notice, the lawfulness of processing rests on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without consent, we rely on our legitimate interest in the functional and secure operation of this website under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for strictly necessary cookies.
Managing cookies
Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can set your browser to show cookies before they're stored, accept only certain ones, or reject them altogether, and you can delete stored cookies at any time. This setting applies only to the browser and device you're using. See your browser's help for details.
